We ship within Australia only. We don't currently offer international delivery.
We aim to dispatch orders within 1β2 business days. You'll receive an email confirmation with your order details shortly after checkout.
Orders are sent with Australia Post or Sendle, depending on the destination, and all parcels are tracked.
No. You're buying from an Australian business with Australian-held stock, so there are no customs, duty or import charges on your order.
Get in touch through our contact form as soon as possible. Once an order has been picked, packed or shipped we canβt change the address, and the parcel needs to come back to us before we can resend it.
Contact us first through our contact form β weβll open an enquiry with Australia Post or Sendle on your behalf. If the parcel canβt be located, weβll resolve it with you under the Australian Consumer Law.
Yes. We accept returns for refund or store credit on unopened products in their original condition within 14 days of delivery. Send us a message through our contact form within that window to receive a Returns Authorisation Number.
For change-of-mind returns, return postage is at your own expense β we donβt provide prepaid labels or deduct postage from your refund. If a product is faulty, youβre entitled to recover reasonable return costs under the Australian Consumer Law, so get in touch through our contact form first.
Change-of-mind returns are limited to unopened products in their original condition, as these are personal hygiene items. If a product is faulty or not as described, reach us through our contact form β your rights under Australian Consumer Law are unaffected.
Sale items aren't eligible for change-of-mind returns unless they're faulty. Gift cards are non-refundable.
Once we receive and inspect your return, approved refunds are issued to your original payment method within 10 business days. Your bank may take additional time to post it.
We describe products by what's in them rather than by what they're for. In Australia, oral care products presented as treating a condition are regulated as therapeutic goods, so anything to do with sensitivity, gum conditions or enamel repair is a conversation for your dentist rather than for us. Our ingredients glossary explains what each ingredient is and the trade-offs worth knowing.
Hydroxyapatite is a naturally occurring calcium phosphate mineral, also found in bone and teeth. Toothpastes containing it use either micro- or nano-sized particles. You can browse our hydroxyapatite range.
The difference is particle size β nano particles are smaller than micro (non-nano) particles. Brands choose between them for different formulation reasons, and both appear in products we stock.
They arenβt mutually exclusive β however a number of manufacturers put both into a single formulation. Whether to use two separate toothpastes in the same routine is much less well studied, and no Australian dental association has published guidance on it, so that one is worth raising with your dentist.
Hydroxyapatite itself is a white mineral. Whether any individual toothpaste affects the appearance of your teeth depends on its full formulation β the ingredients list on each product page shows what's in it.
Yes β we stock both. Our range is weighted towards fluoride-free formulations, and we carry a smaller selected range of fluoride toothpastes.
Rainwater and tank water are not fluoridated. Most Australians on mains water receive fluoridated water, though coverage varies by region. If you have questions about what that means for you, your dentist is the right person to ask.
Yes β you can filter by SLS-free, by ingredient and by flavour intensity.
Abrasivity varies between products and isn't always published. We're not able to give safety advice β check with your dentist, particularly if you have crowns, veneers or other dental work.
The US ‘ADA Seal of Acceptance’ is awarded by the American Dental Association. The Australian Dental Association runs a separate ADA Seal of Approval scheme, launched in 1988, covering products including toothpaste, mouthwash and chewing gum. The two are different programs, so check which seal a product actually carries.
Yes. Toothpasteology is an Australian-owned online retailer based on the Gold Coast, Queensland. All orders are dispatched from within Australia.
No β Toothpasteology is online only.
We carry brands from 34 makers, including many international names not sold in Australian supermarkets, and you can filter by ingredient, format, flavour and brand rather than choosing from a handful of shelf options.
