Ginger on the finish, sweet mint before it: Marvis Ginger Mint toothpaste, in an 85ml tube that wears an orange label and a faceted orange cap. Marvis pairs the sweetness of mint with what it calls a slightly spicy note of ginger. The mint leads, and the ginger stays light.

Fluoride is built in by design, printed up the side of the tube as Fluoride Toothpaste. That ingredient, sodium fluoride, helps prevent tooth decay. The ginger itself is flavour only, covered by the aroma declaration rather than a listed extract. Calcium carbonate with hydrated silica is the cleaning base, sodium lauryl sulfate is the foamer, and the sweetening comes from xylitol alongside sodium saccharin.

Since 1997 Marvis has been a Ludovico Martelli brand. Marvis states that the toothpastes are produced wholly in Italy, with aromas developed together with fragrance houses, and calls the paste old-style, rich and concentrated. The label sets the Marvis name beside an ornate cameo of the Marquis, as Marvis styles him, in orange on silver.
