▸ What do the probiotics in Bio Balance actually do?
Bio Balance uses Lactobacillus ferment, a blend of oral probiotics chosen to help maintain a balanced oral environment. The idea is to work with the bacteria already living in your mouth rather than stripping everything back with each brush.

▸ Does it contain fluoride?
Yes — 1450ppm, delivered as sodium monofluorophosphate. That is the level most dental professionals recommend for adults. If you would rather go fluoride-free, browse our fluoride-free range instead.

▸ Can probiotics and fluoride really work together in one paste?
That is the whole point of the formula. Fluoride handles everyday enamel care while the Lactobacillus ferment supports a balanced oral environment, so you are not choosing between conventional and microbiome-friendly oral care.

▸ What does it taste like?
Clean, straightforward mint. Three mint oils — arvensis, spearmint and peppermint — with menthol, and xylitol and stevioside for sweetness. No artificial sweeteners, and none of the harsh burn some conventional pastes leave behind.

▸ Is the tube really plastic-free?
Yes. The tube and the lid are both aluminium, so the whole thing goes into kerbside recycling exactly as it is. No rinsing it out, no separating the cap, no soft-plastic drop-off.

▸ Who makes PÄRLA, and what size is the tube?
PÄRLA is a UK oral care brand whose formulas are designed by its own dental team. This is a 75ml aluminium tube. The range is vegan certified, palm oil free, SLS free and never tested on animals.

▸ Is it suitable for children?
It is formulated as an adult toothpaste at 1450ppm fluoride. Children need a lower-fluoride formula and a smaller amount — ask your dental professional what suits your child's age.
