Boka Hydroxyapatite Toothpaste in Cherry Blossom skips the cold menthol snap. Read the ingredient list and you will not find menthol, peppermint oil or mint oil of any kind — so the flavour simply fades at the end instead of slamming shut.

What you get is sweet cherry lifted by soft sakura florals, with a creamy roundness and a faint tang behind it. It is fruity without being sharp, and floral without tipping into perfume. If you would rather avoid menthol, if you are moving a child on from bubblegum pastes, or if you simply never understood why toothpaste has to be cold, this is the one.

The base underneath is the one the rest of the range is built on. Hydroxyapatite (HA), the mineral that makes up about 97% of tooth enamel, sits at its core, with hydrated silica and baking soda to polish and help lift the surface stains left by coffee, tea and red wine. Aloe vera, xylitol, green tea leaf extract and a trio of cucumber, mango and avocado fruit extracts round it out. Fluoride free, SLS free, paraben free, vegan and cruelty free.

How to use

Apply a pea-sized amount to your brush (No need to wet the bristles) and brush for 2 minutes, 2 times per day. Do not rinse after use.

What does Boka Cherry Blossom taste like?

Is Cherry Blossom mint-free?

No. Boka makes its toothpaste range without fluoride, built around hydroxyapatite (HA). Cherry Blossom is fluoride-free, SLS-free, paraben-free, vegan and cruelty-free.
Does it help with surface stains?

It contains hydrated silica and baking soda, which polish and help lift the surface stains left by coffee, tea and red wine. There is no peroxide in it, so any change is gradual rather than overnight.
How is it different from Boka's fruit flavours?

Watermelon Mint is sweet and playful and still finishes on a light menthol note, and Blueberry Dragon Fruit is sweet and berry-led. Cherry Blossom is creamier and more floral, and has no mint in it at all.
