Hydroxyapatite meets fluoride in PÄRLA's Pro Whitening toothpaste, where calcium carbonate, silica and baking soda help lift surface stains from coffee and tea.

Pro Whitening contains no peroxide. It pairs hydroxyapatite, the mineral that makes up about 97% of tooth enamel, with fluoride and mild polishing agents (calcium carbonate, hydrated silica and a little sodium bicarbonate among them) to help lift the everyday surface stains left behind by coffee, tea and red wine.

It is the only paste in the PÄRLA range to carry hydroxyapatite and fluoride together. Vitamin E (tocopheryl acetate) and vitamin B12 (methylcobalamin) round out the formula alongside xylitol and a three-way mint blend. Like the rest of the range it is SLS free, palm oil free, vegan and never tested on animals, in PÄRLA's aluminium tube, cap included. 75ml tube.

How to use

Use a pea-sized amount on a soft-bristled manual or electric brush.
Brush twice daily for two minutes, covering every surface of every tooth — outside, inside and chewing side.
Wait at least 30 minutes after eating before you brush.
Spit, do not rinse.

How does it whiten, and is there peroxide in it?

No peroxide. Pro Whitening works on surface stains only: calcium carbonate, hydrated silica and a little sodium bicarbonate help lift everyday marks from coffee, tea and red wine. It polishes rather than bleaching the tooth itself.
How long before I see a difference?

It is gradual, not overnight. Pro Whitening works on surface stains only, so how much it lifts depends on how much coffee, tea and red wine you drink, and it does not change the underlying colour of the tooth.
Why hydroxyapatite and fluoride in the same paste?

PÄRLA includes both, so the paste carries hydroxyapatite, the mineral that makes up about 97% of tooth enamel, alongside sodium monofluorophosphate, which helps prevent tooth decay. It is the only paste in the PÄRLA range with both.
Does it contain fluoride?

Yes, as sodium monofluorophosphate, sitting alongside the hydroxyapatite. If you would rather skip fluoride altogether, our fluoride-free hydroxyapatite range has plenty of options.
Is it gentle enough to use every day?

The polishing agents here are the mild kind used across everyday toothpastes. Use a soft brush and light pressure, twice a day; it is made for daily use.
What are the vitamins doing in a toothpaste?

Vitamin E (tocopheryl acetate) and vitamin B12 (methylcobalamin) are part of PÄRLA's formulation. They are cosmetic ingredients in the paste. A toothpaste is not a supplement, and this is no substitute for getting either nutrient from your diet.
What does it taste like, and what size is the tube?

Clean triple mint: arvensis, spearmint and peppermint oils with menthol, sweetened with xylitol and stevioside, no artificial sweeteners. The sodium bicarbonate gives it a slightly crisper edge than Bio Balance. 75ml aluminium tube.
