Sinuous Lily, the Marvis lily toothpaste, gathers white lilies into a bouquet over cool peppermint, in a 75 ml teal tube printed with a violet fish.

White lilies gathered into a bouquet over a base of peppermint, sealed in a 75ml teal tube patterned with a violet fish: Sinuous Lily, the Marvis lily toothpaste. Marvis pairs the lilies with peppermint, so the floral note arrives first and a cool mint edge follows. The ingredient list declares its flavour components one by one, from peppermint oil and menthol to hydroxycitronellal and hexyl cinnamal.

Under the florals is a conventional fluoride formula: the flavour is why it is stocked here, and the fluoride is there by design. Its fluoride source, sodium fluoride, helps prevent tooth decay. The rest divides into plain jobs: calcium carbonate and hydrated silica clean, sodium lauryl sulfate foams, xylitol and sodium saccharin sweeten, and titanium dioxide, a white pigment, colours the paste.

The cameo on the tube shows the character Marvis names as its Marquis. Ludovico Martelli has owned Marvis since 1997, and by the brand’s account every Marvis paste is made in Italy, rich and concentrated, in what it calls the old style.

How to use

Use a pea-sized amount twice a day, brushing for two minutes each time, and spit out whatever is left in the mouth; do not swallow it. As with any fluoride toothpaste, check the carton for age guidance and warnings before a child uses it.

What does the Marvis lily toothpaste taste like?

Marvis describes Sinuous Lily as white lilies gathered into a bouquet and paired with the freshness of peppermint. In the mouth, the lily comes first; menthol and peppermint oil supply the cool mint edge behind it. It suits people who enjoy floral flavours more than straight mint.
Is there fluoride in Marvis Sinuous Lily?

Yes: sodium fluoride is in the lily formula, and the tube is labelled as a fluoride toothpaste. That sodium fluoride helps prevent tooth decay. Marvis has not put the fluoride level online. Shoppers avoiding fluoride can use the Fluoride filter on the toothpaste pages to find alternatives.
Is Sinuous Lily free of SLS?

Sinuous Lily is white lily with peppermint. Kissing Rose sets notes Marvis calls Bulgarian rose beside a hint of mint. Dreamy Osmanthus combines the osmanthus flower with peppermint and spearmint. Jasmin Mint, in an 85ml tube, puts jasmine with mint.
